Figured out that Vomit Issue

You might not remember, but right around the time we started blogging Kaylee had a yucky vomiting episode. A few months later she had another incident that we didn't write about. We thought maybe there was a connection with soy, so we wound up taking Kaylee to an allergist. It turns out she has something called FPIES to soy. I wrote a whole long detailed post about it on our Mighty Munchkin blog (if you're interested in all the scintillating details).

Although you never want to hear that something is wrong with your baby, our visit to the allergist was probably one of the most successful doctor's visits I've ever participated in. For one, we actually received a diagnosis (and FPIES isn't easy to diagnose). For another, the doctor didn't look at me like I was wacko. Well, that doesn't usually happen, that's just my own doctor phobia coming out.

I do always get a good laugh whenever I take Kaylee to see a doctor though (afterwards). Kaylee was obviously not in the mood to be poked and prodded and as a result became quite furious when the doctor needed to examine her and his response? Looking right into her eyes he states for the record...."wow you're really angry, aren't you?" With sincere shock on his face. LOL. And of course, she was quite mad. Not scared or upset, but livid. Once he was done though, all was forgiven and she was happy to run around the examination room trying to discover new toys.
