Although a bit dreary, the day began innocently enough. Kaylee was chipper, and as a result so was I. In the morning, we were off to the super market for the weekly shopping. We shopped, made our way through the checkout, and my credit card was declined. OK, no big deal, I gave them another card and we were on the move again. Afterward, I called the credit card company to figure out what the problem was. Apparently someone in
California was making large purchases on my card, which resulted in a hold on my account. (You may have heard that
Hannafords had credit information stolen from them a few months ago.) Interestingly, the credit card company didn’t try to contact me even though they suspected fraud. Well, that mess has been straightened out, but not without some heartache. Anyway, if you’ve ever charged anything at Hannafords you may just want to request a new card.
The afternoon went well. Over the last few days, Kaylee has been making an immense effort to walk using our fingers for guidance, which is what we spent much of the afternoon doing (along with generally playing). The evening time was a different story, however. Just before bedtime poor little Kaylee started vomiting. After about two hours of continuous vomiting we called the pediatrician’s office, who advised us to take her to the emergency room. Although the advice seemed contrary to what we had read, we were hesitant not to follow the guidance. After waiting quite some time at the hospital, the doctor took a quick look at Kaylee and sent us home. Sigh.
Sorry to have to share sad news on our new blog (which is really meant for all the happy stuff). You’ll be glad to know that little Kaylee is doing much better! She was sick for about four hours total last night, and is her crazy self today! I think she’s recovered much faster than Nick and I! LOL

Two people have been hit by the Hannaford ordeal at work. Both had large purchases on their credit cards. Purchases occurred out of Florida and Texas. Also, 12 people called out sick this week in out Waltham office. All of the nurses thought it might be food poisoning. However when it was looked at a little bit closer it didn't make sense. Happy to hear that the muchkin is AOK now. I hope her parents get a little sleep tonight.
Love,
MOM Schroth
