Two weekends ago Kaylee got to visit with Nana and Grandpa and she had so much fun that after they left she kept saying "see Nana see Grandpa!" Some of her favorite moments of the morning were playing with her blocks, and hide and seek of course! You should know though, that when Kaylee plays hide and seek, she cheats. She'll run into another room for a fleeting moment, dramatically yelling "one, two, seven, eight, ten, READY!" Then she comes storming back. Most of the time there isn't time to actually hide anything, so we resort to throwing toys across the room. Which is totally OK, because Kaylee will pretend she doesn't see the object if she wants to extend the game. Everybody wins. You can see Kaylee explaining the whole complex process to Nana in the picture above.
This past weekend we had a great time visiting the Harvard Natural History Museum. If you've never been there you should definitely go! Very cool museum, with lots to see including dinosaur bones, stellar crystal formations, and this crazy room full of flowers made from glass. On Sunday mornings, the museum is free! Which is great for us because Kaylee likes to visit museums for about an hour maybe two if we're lucky. So free or discounted is nice. After about an hour, Kaylee was done. Partly because she's a shy kiddo that seems to be a magnet for other not so shy kiddos. One little boy in particular was following her around. And she just wasn't ok with that. After the museum, we walked around Cambridge for a little while. Kaylee likes to walk too, so we go short distances over a long period of time. It's a new concept for me, but she won't be convinced of any other way at this point. She's opinionated. I'm not sure where she gets that from...
