Don't worry we weren't abducted by aliens :)

I know, I know, a whole month between blog posts! Where did we disappear to? Oh silly, we didn't disappear, we've just been a little lazy when it comes to posting. In our defense, we have been a bit busy. After that crazy ice storm, we decided to have a bunch of trees taken down. You should see our back yard. It looks like we had a monster truck rally back there. (Right about now Nick is grimacing.) We also had some roof repairs done, which can be blamed on the ice storm too. Oh, and exciting news, the roof guy said our roof looks great! Should last just shy of forever or at least another decade. Yay! Hmmm, let's see what else....

Kaylee had her 18 month wellness visit. She weighs 24 pounds and 12 ounces and (they claim) she's 33 inches long. We are pretty certain, however, that Kaylee isn't longer than 32 inches. (We have a growth chart at home and we've been measuring her at 31.5 inches.) Now you're saying, who cares it's an inch! And it doesn't really matter, but it is funny to note that 32 is about the 50 percentile for length and 33 inches launches to the 85 percentile! Oh, those silly charts! Anyway, Kaylee's doing great!

I've sort of started training for some races in the Spring. I haven't actually been running much, but I've been doing a lot of the stationary bike and row machine. Planning a 5K in April, a 10K at the beginning of May, and a half marathon at the end of May. I keep trying to convince Nick that running is fun and that he should join me, but he keeps mumbling something about me being "crazy." Curious.

Nick has been practicing on his guitar. He's working on a Tom Petty song right now and a little Pink Floyd. It's pretty cool. Kaylee loves to watch him play!

That's all for a quick update! There are some videos and pictures we plan to post soon, so stay tuned! Here's quick pic I took with my phone last week...Kaylee reading on her comfy chair.
