Meanderings of a Toddler

Toddlers and toilets:
The tiny tyke has shown some basic signs that potty training could be in our near future. In case you're wondering what such signs might consist of, they include, waking up with a dry diaper from time to time, telling us when she's "pooping," and having a general interest in the toilet. Although, it could be argued that her interest in the toilet centers around the fact that it's filled with water. Anyway we decided to pick up a potty. Always be prepared, right? I know, I know, not exactly riveting. Here's the deal though, I took a couple pictures with my phone, and well, just look...funny, right?

What do I do with this?

Oh, I get it!

Did you ever see Mary Poppins?
A few months ago, we were visiting with Uncle Mike and Auntie Kristin. Mike quickly realized that Kaylee has taken on certain parrot like traits. She repeats everything. Seriously...everything. Well he thought it was only appropriate to give her a challenge. He asked her if she could say, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." She couldn't. This irritated her. She has been making us repeat "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" over and over and over. She's a slave driver! Well she's finally got it. Here's a video clip of her saying the silliest word ever. Oh, she also tries to sing a bit of the song, but she's still working on being able to say "atrocious" so it sounds a bit mumbled.

We'd better warn Kaylee to be careful about that Uncle Mike and the ideas he can plant in your head. But it is the cutest video! I also loved that at the end she says "for Uncle Mike".

V cute!
Potty training is life changing (for the parents).
Then discussions about body parts and body producs really starts!
Never a dull moment:)
