Many of you probably know that my brother, Mark, has been in Florida the last couple years training to be a pilot in the Marine Corp. Well guess what? All that hard work has paid off, today he got his wings! Woo hoo! My parents and gram took the trek down to see the ceremony and partake in the celebration. I wish I could have been there too. It's official...he's a Marine Corp pilot!Above on the left, you can see a picture of my brother and I when we were much much younger. He was so cute, right? And little! That tiny tyke right there is all grown up now, and getting ready to have all kinds of crazy adventures! Below you can see a more recent picture...he's still cute. Anyway I just wanted to say congratulations Mark! You've done awesome! I hope today was great!

It was a great day Katie! We missed you being here. Hearing the history of the wings was awesome. All of the celebrations have been great too. We've gone from one exciting thing to another. We have some wonderful pictures of the events. Look forward to showing you and telling you all about it. We ran 11 miles as a long run one morning and 6 miles every other day we've been here. Very Very hot... See you soon.

Hi Katie,
I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated the phone message you left on my phone wishing me a happy birthday. You can't imagine how much difference it made.
At the winging the officer stated Mark's name, the information about what he is flying and where he is going and the names of the people
who were with him. We all walked up on stage, Alexis pinned on his wings. A professional photograph was taken and then we shook hands with the 5 officers on stage and walked down. It was very exciting.
Your mother is getting to be be quite a runner, going from no running at all to 11 miles in the Florida sun.
Hope to see you soon.
Love, Gram
