Tuesday's Training Update: Less Training More Sleeping

Last week started out miserable. I woke up Monday with a swollen salivary gland (weird I know). And I was just utterly exhausted, like I had trouble dragging my sorry butt out of bed exhausted, which is rare for me. I generally have an over abundance of energy, hence my love of running. Anyway, Tuesday was worse. I was so miserably tired that I had zero patience for just about anything, and couldn't figure out why so many people felt the need to converse with me (usually I'm a social butterfly, at least when compared to other engineers).

Wednesday I just went to work to grab my computer and then came back home to sleep. Seeing as Kaylee was being taken care of by Grandma and Daddy, I had the opportunity to sleep...the whole day. Then I slept some more, and I finally felt human again Thursday morning. My gland was still swollen and I was still tired, but it was manageable. I even got in a run, but I took it easy. I ran the rest of the week, but I didn't do any workouts. I just ran comfortably. I've been running long enough to know when I need to back off. I definitely needed to back off. I don't know what was up with the whole gland and tiredness thing, but hopefully I'm passed it and can get back to this training stuff because that's where the fun is. ;)

Last week's training:

Friday: 7.25 miles at 9:23 pace

Note: All my runs were with the running stroller.

Yikes about being sick. Glad you are feeling better. Everytime I feel sick I sleep a lot (if I can) and feel better shortly! Ana-Maria
