Kaylee's Growth at Two Years

Okay, aside from maybe the grandparents, I realize most of you aren't really concerned about Kaylee's growth chart. I can appreciate that, but part of having this blog is so that someday Kaylee can look back and one say "wow look that was me when I was tiny" and two say "my mother really likes to run for some reason." (Notice how I used the present tense for the second part? Because I plan to be around and running when Kaylee is an adult.)

You might have already guessed that Kaylee recently had her two year wellness checkup. We're happy to report that Kaylee is healthy! The doctor was impressed with her vocabulary, and actually started laughing fairly hard when Kaylee informed her that "she needed to look something up on the Internet." I don't know where she gets this stuff! We don't sit her in front of the computer or anything. She must have heard us talking about it. I don't know, but the doctor thought it was hilarious.

She was also surprised when Kaylee picked up a book and pretended to read it aloud. All I could say was "she talks all the time." This kid is definitely a girl. Have you ever seen that car commercial where the father is strapping his daughter into a car seat and she's talking a mile a minute? He closes the door and she's still talking (albeit her voice is muted at that point). When he opens the door to get into the driver's seat she is still talking...didn't even miss a beat. Yeah, it's like that in our house. I like it though. It's fun to hear her stories.

I think Kaylee will read this blog and say: "Hm, mom is cool, she loves running almost as much as I do".
P.S. A year ago I started a blog for my son. Now I have 2 blogs to keep up with...and not a lot of free time.
