We don't generally chop lots of wood. During a crazy ice storm last year, though, we had a huge Ash tree go down. We had the tree guys leave some of the wood. We figured Ash is good for burning and we have a fire place, so why not? Of course this means that Nick has to split the wood...with an axe. I remember my Dad splitting wood all the time when I was a kid, but now that I'm older I have a deeper respect for the axe, and wielding it, and swinging it, and chopping stuff with it. What I mean is, I don't want to do it. Nick and I generally share equally in all the various household duties. He does laundry and dishes (just like me). And I do yard work and things like re-grouting the bathroom (just like him). There a few exceptions. I don't like power tools. I'll shovel snow, for instance, but I won't touch the snow blower. Nick finds this perplexing. Axes go right along with the power tools. Not for me. So he split the wood and I took a few pictures with my phone. I hope you enjoy our fuzzy phone pictures!
Trying to have fun on Tuesdays

Being back at work full-time can be difficult. I'm still working from home
on Tuesdays though, and since I often wind up working more than eight hours
