A Spontaneous Adventure to Boston

So it seems our new favorite pass time is going to Boston. This past Sunday we took an impromptu drive to Post Office Square, grabbed some lunch, and walked around the wharf adjacent to the aquarium.

Our original plan for the day had been to attend "touch a truck day," where there were bulldozers, police cars, fire engines, school buses, and dump trucks. All open for the tiny tykes to crawl inside. Now Kaylee was excited enough to go, but less enthusiastic when she realized there were horns in the vehicles. The loud noises startled her. She did enjoy the school bus and we walked around for a little while, but it was an activity that only lasted 20 minutes. Then we were back in the car, where Kaylee decided she just couldn't keep her eyes open any longer, and Nick and I were left wondering what to do with the rest of the day.

Since it was such a nice day, I suggested we just take a drive to Boston and walk around. And so we did. It's nice because Kaylee enjoys going, and it's interesting for us too. Next time we go, we plan to look up the address of Mike's pastry beforehand. All I have to say is, holy cannoli! Also, we promise to call Mike and Kristin, who live right down the road, and the connoli's will be on us!

Nick took a few more pictures, which can found here on smugmug. Our favorite can also be found below. Enjoy!

Kaylee playing in the water is one of those priceless photos. The skirt and the hat are a killer. She's so darn cute! Nice that she's able to get some Boston time too.

Mike's pastries. Anytime, anyplace. You call and Mike (not of the pastries) and I will be there. We might even bring the crazy dogs.
