Kaylee: Little Package, Big Boom

This is the story of Kaylee…running. This kid runs like the Tasmanian devil or a herd of bison (it’s a tough call). Close your eyes and imagine…

From across the house you can hear….STOMP, STOMP, STOMP, STOMP….wait for it…STOMP! Is it a truck? Is it a building being demolished across the street? No, no, it must be a herd of some kind of enormous animal! None of the above ladies and gentlemen, it’s a baby on a mission, and watch out cause she’s coming fast. Baby Kaylee sets her sights on the target and tramples everything in view to catch…you! Tag you’re it! And she turns and runs (squealing the entire time).

Now you might be tempted to be impressed, but she’s not an independent runner. She has mobilizers, namely Mommy and Daddy who aid her on her endeavors (she leads and we provide fingers for stabilization). Kaylee happens to be a big chicken with a propensity for running (this week anyway). As soon as she gets a hold of our fingers she’s off like a cheetah. She has quite a bit of endurance too (the game can last as long as two hours at a time), but when she crashes, she crashes hard. Watch out, cranky baby!

Our weekend consisted of chores, mall food, adult running, but most memorable by far is playing tag with Kaylee (little package, big boom). She’s a back breaker in the cutest little package. Oh yeah, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Go ahead and leave us a comment (we want to know what you think)! :)

Hooray for a noisemaker! I myself am rarely quiet as I move about the house-- one of my dad's favorite sayings was "walk like an indian, not like an elephant" (not PC, but very fitting). Kaylee probably sees her mom going running all the time and wants to join! Hopefully soon she will take off on her own! I like the new blog design too!

When Dad saw the story he said she walks an elephant;not like an Indian.
She can never sneak in.
