Now that Kaylee is getting older, she likes to do her part (selectively). She always offers to clean the toilet (I think she’s trying to vie for an opportunity to play in the great porcelain throne, so I’ve declined the offer to this point). She abhors the vacuum, however. The sound that once soothed her now irritates her (go figure). We’ve made a compromise though, I strap to her my back and she’s happy.
Her absolute favorite chore is the laundry. She plays the part of sorter. There are two possible sorting categories: that which belongs in the laundry basket and that which must come out of the basket (sometimes what was deemed necessary to come out must then go back in). It’s all very complicated and I’m sure that I don’t completely understand the process, but she does and that’s all that matters.

How lucky can mom and dad be to have a girl t hat is a great helper and a greater athlete. It is also good to see that she is an independent thinker not influenced by the latest hair styles.
