The Terrific Mr. Turtle

A few weeks ago we went to the DeCordova Museum. (You remember the plethora of photos, right?) While were there we found the most adorable puppets in the gift shop! Kaylee absolutely loves puppets, which is something I figured out from visiting the local library. We didn't actually have any at that point. As a result, I wanted her to pick one out. But alas, she was less interested in picking one and more interested in seeing all of them in action. There was no comprehension (on her part) that whichever puppet was chosen would be with us forever. And there were a lot to choose from! Sigh. We narrowed it down to a cute little turtle and a three headed dragon. As cool (and shiny) as the three headed dragon was, the cute little turtle seemed more snugly. Mr. Turtle is now one of her most beloved toys!

Seriously though, these puppets are great. Mr. Turtle, for instance, has a place for each finger (all his legs and head). There's also space in his shell to pull in all his legs and head. The entire selection was constructed similarly. Definitely the nicest children's puppets I've seen.

Here's a video of Kaylee. Towards the end you'll meet Mr. Turtle. Enjoy!

I would like to go on the record that Kaylee is the cutest child ever! I can't believe she's a toddler now! Wow! Seriously, Katie and Nick, she is so adorable! I still keep a picture of her in her Halloween outfit in my office, just to show her off! And I can't believe how much she's talking! And good choice on the turtle - as a former Terp, I'd say that's a pretty great mascot!!

You're so sweet! We think she's pretty cute, but I've come to terms with my bias.

I don't know about a Terp as a mascot...I guess it's better than a Shamrock. ;)
